KIPP Costs
KIPP Time
KSPA students and staff dedicate 67% more time to learning than their public school counterparts by attending school from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, Saturday School twice a month, and Summer School for three weeks each June.
Faculty Excellence
In order to attract and retain the very best teachers, we offer a higher starting salary than traditional schools. Our teachers also make themselves available by cell phone so students can call for homework help.
Out-of-State Field Lessons
Each student has the opportunity to earn a special hands-on-learning field lesson that complements the academic program. Our 5th graders visit Washington, D.C., 6th graders visits national parks in Utah, 7th graders take a California college tour, and 8th graders visit colleges on the East Coast.
KSPA Library
Opening in August 2007, the library blends tradition and technology with books appropriate for our students' reading levels as well as a computer lab.

School-Wide Band
All 6th graders are currently enrolled in band class, but our goal is that every student will learn to play a musical instrument.
Health and Fitness for Life Program
An exemplary physical education program focused on individual fitness was launched in 2004 and its nutritional component in 2006. The program offers improved food options in our daily breakfast, lunch and snack menus.
These KIPP Costs, which amount to $1,887 per student per year, are funded only by the private sector. Our success would not be possible without the enthusiastic support of the Denver community.
