KIPP Success

• The average student at KIPP Sunshine Peak Academy achieved approximately 2 grade levels of growth in one year.
• At KIPP Sunshine Peak Academy 6th grade students achieved an increase of 25% Proficient or Advanced in Math on the CSAP test.
• At KIPP Sunshine Peak Academy 6th grade students achieved an increase of 21% in Proficient or Advanced in Reading and Writing on the CSAP test.
• Despite the long school day, summer, and Saturday school, 97% of students attended school daily during the 2006-2007 school year.

What is KIPP?

KIPP is a model for extraordinary public schools that has shown remarkable results around the country. Students who enter KIPP schools significantly below grade level finish the year with test scores dramatically exceeding comparable schools throughout their respective districts and states. Currently there are 57 KIPP schools open around the country; 12 more will open in fall 2008.
